This month we were quite lucky to get some new updates about the world of Harry Potter, I decided to make a list of all!

  • Fantastic Beasts and where to find them Illustrated edition

I kinda screamed a bit when I saw the most beautiful cover for this book, I honestly think this will be one of the most beautiful illustrated editions ever. The artwork is made by Olivia Lomenech Gill. This beautiful edition of Fantastic beasts will be released on 7 November 2017 published by Bloomsbury.

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Illustrated edition) has been brought to life in kindle form!

On 5 September this amazing kindle edition will be released and I’m honestly really fricking excited about this because.. This edition will actually make the illustrations.. MOVE! Yes you have read this well, it will actually move just like the newspapers in the books/films (weren’t we all jealous about this) so we will get a bit of the wizarding reading experience too (screams). Note that you need kindle motion for this it’s compatible on Fire tablets and the free Kindle app for iOS and Android.

  • 2 new books about the world of Harry Potter

We are getting blessed with 2 (!) new books about the world of Harry Potter later this year, in October. I say the world of Harry Potter as it’s not about Harry himself. First of all, we are getting ‘Harry Potter: A history of magic’ it “promises to take readers on a fascinating journey through the subjects studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry – from Alchemy and Potions classes through to Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures.” This book was mentioned several times in the books
BUT we are also very lucky to get ‘Harry Potter: A Journey Through the History of Magic’ which is “packed with unseen sketches and manuscript pages from J.K. Rowling, magical illustrations from Jim Kay and weird, wonderful and inspiring artifacts that have been magically released from the archives at the British Library.”

John Hurt dies at the age of 77

John hurt was known for roles in The Elephant man, Alien, Midnight express, Indiana Jones.. But I really remember him for his great role as the War doctor in Doctor who and, of course, Mr Ollivander in Harry Potter.

Mr. Hurt died January 27, 2017, London (England) five days after his 77th birthday.

“Curious indeed how these things happen. The wand chooses the wizard, remember…I think we must expect great things from you, Mr. Potter… After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things — terrible, yes, but great”

Bruxelles ma belle

I know, this has nothing to do with books but for once it doesn’t matter.

I live in Belgium and go to Brussels every once in a while, and take the plane at least once every 3 months to go to England. I was in my uni when we all heard the news. It happened yesterday but only had the time today to make a post about it. I wanted to make sure that everyone of my friends and family were okay, luckily they are.

Unfortunately there are many people that weren’t as lucky and lost their life or lost someone close to them. My condolences go to the victims and their loved ones.

I want everyone to know that the people from Belgium aren’t mad at the Muslims because we all know that ISIS aren’t Muslims. We all stand together and we will fight back. We’re not, and never will be, afraid.

I got nominated for the Leibster Award!

I got nominated for the Liebster Award by Xanabooks
Have a look at her blog if you want it’s really good!

Here are the rules

  • Acknowledge the blog that nominated you and display the award.
  • Answer 11 question that the blog gives you.
  • Give 11 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 5-11 blogs you think are deserving of the award that have less than 200 followers.
  • Let the blogs know you have nominated them.
Give them 11 questions to answer.

The questions I got!

  1. What is your biggest goal in life?
My biggest goal would be to travel, to see the world. Yet my goal is also to make sure the people around me (mostly my family) are happy. We always had and still have money issues and I hope that one day I earn enough that I can get my mum and grandma everything they need.
  2. If you could live anywhere where would it be?
This is a hard one, I don’t really have a place where I really really want to be. But I would like to settle in a different city/town every few years. So at least I would never get bored of the place and still find new things.
  3. Who is your book crush?
I fell in love with Aristotle and Dante. I absolutely adored the book and I cannot wait for the second.
  4. What made you start a blog?
I enjoy reading and I wanted to keep a list from all the books I have read, but I also wanted to know what I really thought of it. So one day I got up and started this blog. Not regretting it!
  5. Who is your favorite booktuber?
I don’t have any, I barely go on youtube.
  6. If you could learn another language what would it be?
Sign language, I used to be able to sign a few words but it has been years since I’ve been doing it. I would love to be able to know the full international sign language.
  7. Paperbacks or Hardbacks?
Hardbacks. I recently decided that I’m not going to buy any paperbacks anymore since I have a Kindle. I would only buy a hardback if I really liked the book and I want an actual copy. I don’t have a lot of space in my room so that’s why I had to make this (heartbreaking) decision.
  8. What is your favorite bookshop?
Waterstones, this because we don’t have any real bookshops in Belgium. So whenever I go to the UK I always go to Waterstones and spend hours there. Also because, Costa.
  9. What song is at the top of your reading playlist?
I don’t listen any songs while I read (if thats what you meant)
  10. Favorite book title?
SO MANY! Aristotle and Dante, Every last word, Boys don’t cry (!!!!!!!!!!)
  11. If you could write a book, who would your main character be and why?
my cat (Fish), because she’s freaking awesome.

11 Random facts about me

  1. My favorite actor is Louis De Funès
  2. I’ve got 3 tattoos
  3. I’ve been diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety disorders and social anxiety disorder. I tried to end my life 4 times.
  4. I study medicine, I’m in my last year
  5. I’m in a long distance relationship
  6. I’ve got fear of flying, yet I need to take the plane every 2-3 months to see my boyfriend
  7. My family is more important to me than friends, that’s probably why I only have 2 friends

Just announced! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts I & II

J.K Rowling is publishing book number 8 of Harry Potter (THANK GOD)
It will be published on 31/07/2016!

(Waterstones) Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on 30th July 2016.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three schoolage children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

You can pre-order it (hardback) on waterstones for only £10!
