Enter title here – Rahul Kanakia

I’ve seen this book in a bookstore a few times and always wondered whether or not I should buy it. When I saw someone was selling it second hand I thought I might as well buy it and give it a shot. I haven’t read it yet and I don’t have very high expectations but I am excited to read it. (Goodreads)

Illuminae – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

This book has been out for a while now and there’s already a second book in the series. I haven’t bought it before as I’m not really into sci-fi but I heard all these good reviews about it so I decided to buy it and I’ll read it one day soon 🙂 (Goodreads)

Our chemical hearts – Krystal Sutherland

“John Green meets Rainbow Rowell in this irresistible story of first love, broken hearts, and the golden seams that put them back together again.”  I’ve got very high expectations of this book. (Goodreads)

Life in a fishbowl – Len Vlahos

This book got released at the beginning of this year and I was quite lucky when I saw someone selling this second hand a few days after the release date. I’m really excited to start reading this book, it sounds so promising and I can’t wait! (Goodreads)

The art of being normal – Lisa Williamson

“Two boys. Two secrets.”
With an almost 5 star review on Goodreads I’m very curious how good this book actually is. Apparently this book has very positive reactions about how it handles GLBT. (Goodreads)

Fangirl – Rainbow Rowell

I’ve been wanting to have this book for SO long already! But I never saw it in hardback in a bookstore, so I finally decided to buy this book online. I heard so many great things about it!! I so hope it will be as good as I hope it will be. (Goodreads)

A quiet kind of thunder – Sara Barnard

“Steffi doesn’t talk, but she has so much to say.
Rhys can’t hear, but he can listen.
Their love isn’t a lightning strike, it’s the rumbling roll of thunder.”

December Books haul & Christmas presents!

I hope everyone had or is having a great Christmas! I had a wonderful one 😀 I’m first of all going to discuss the books I got myself during this month and after I’ll discuss my presents as all of them has pretty much something to do with books 🙂

I wanted to have the Heroes of Olympus series for a long time already, but I think everyone knows that getting the whole series in hardback, new, is quite expensive. I was lucky enough to find them second hand for a much lower price! I haven’t started reading them just yet but I’m really excited to!

I have read Amy & Roger’s Epic detour years ago in Dutch. I absolutely loved this book and I’ve always wanted to have the English edition one. I also got this one second hand just like One and The program. I used to have a copy of The perks of being a wallflower but I had to get a new one as my old copy was completely damaged of reading it over and over again. The perks is one of my all time favourite books

  • Le Petit Prince book, I wanted for so so long and I was so happy when my mum gave it to me
  • I got a Polaroid from my sister
  • A Disney mug
  • 7 Funko pops
  • Owl inspired: bag, watch, photo frame (not in the pic), necklace and a clothing
  • A CD of a Belgium girl group (was more as a joke)

Tell me, have you got anything book related? I couldn’t be happier with my presents!

November book haul!

15272047_10209555786749327_4803090953139576783_o.jpg

To begin with: The Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman. I have read Noughts & Crosses a few months ago and absolutely loved it (Here’s my review) I’m really excited to read all the other books in this series! 😀

The perks of being a wallflower, one of my all time favourite book. I fell in love with this book when I was having a bad time with my depression. I find myself reading this book everytime I have a bad time. I had to re-buy a copy as my old one was really badly damaged. This is a book that everyone should read at least once in their life.

I love Rick Riordan and I can’t wait to read those books. I still need to read the first book of Magnus Chase but I’m 100% sure those books will be as good as all the others he has written

October books haul

DSC_0528.JPG

First of all: Holding up the universe by Jennifer Niven. It’s the second book I have bought of her. I enjoyed All the bright places and I’m very excited and curious if I’ll think the same of Holding up the universe. I was (very) lucky to find it in a local book store as it’s hard to find English Young adult books in Belgium.

I’ve been looking forward to The sun is also a star  by Nicola Yoon since I have read Everything, everything. That book blew me away and I couldn’t get enough of it. I wanted to pre-order it online but it was already in stock mid October, I didn’t wait any longer and got it right away (good that I did as it’s out of stock at the moment ^^’)

I found Heroes of Olympus (The son of Neptune) on a secondhand website. i’m currently trying to get every Rick Riordan book so I bought it right away when I saw this book for only €10 with shipping. It arrived in great condition and IT’S SIGNED! I’m not going to lie, I did a happy dance 😀
