The only home Riga Garrison has ever known is the Tunnel, a subterranean research facility buried deep beneath Antarctica’s ice and snow.
Yet, while a safe haven for the last outpost of humanity governed by the Initiate, it is also home to a secret so dark that they will risk anything to protect it.
Surrounded by deceit and faced with exile to a frozen wasteland, Riga must defy not only the Initiate’s top biologists and loyalists but also her own mother, in an attempt to unearth the truth.
What I think of it
This book officially got me into sci-fi.
It doesn’t happen a lot but I finished it in one sitting and I loved every single page.
This was so beautiful and incredible written. The characters were absolutely amazing, I fell in love with so many and actually wish some were real. This is the first book I have read that’s situated in Antarctica so that was really interesting.
It’s is absolutely perfect for you if you’re a fan of The Divergent series and The Maze Runner. This book made me feel like I was a part of the story and made it very hard to put down (so I didn’t and read it all at once).
This is Laura L. Fox her debut novel and she totally won me, I cannot wait to read more of her works.
