“You can’t predict the future. It turns out that you can’t predict the past either. Time moves in both directions – forward and backward – and what happens here and now changes them both.”

Summary

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

What I think of it

I expected to love this books but I absolutely ADORED it.
This book is cute, funny and the illustrations are making it complete (also the cover is so so pretty!). I couldn’t get enough of it, the characters are unique and absolutely lovely. I’ve read it in 2 days and I was so so curious about the ending.. But I got disappointed. The last 50-80 pages were unrealistic, predictable and it felt like everything had to happen all at once.  I was frustrated as the ending could of been so much better if the book had like 100 more pages to give it a better and more realistic ending. All by all it’s an amazing read, the illustrations just make everything more interesting. I recommend this read highly. Also #TeamCarla
